Big Ten Network

Project Overview

Project Description

With 15 sports being covered, over 30 TV shows and countless media assets coming from a huge group of authors, BTN needed a website that could keep up with massive volume. They need to be able to quickly post news and commentary as well as organize it, so it is easy for BTN’s viewers to find on the site.

Our team provided IA (information architecture), design, and development to create a WordPress-based site for Big Ten Network to provide information on their conference and network. A large amount of information about sports, teams, and news is only a few clicks away and the site is responsive to suit desktop and mobile users alike. Search was enhanced using our Lift Search plugin to provide more relevant results and let users drill down by topic. BTN now has a responsive WordPress VIP-based site that provides the best presentation of all that media on both mobie and desktop browsers, all in an environment that is easily usable by the site’s contributors. The addition of enhanced search allows visitors to easily find all the information they’re looking for on their favorite teams, players and more.

At a Glance

Big Ten Networks was looking for a new home for its massive amount of sports coverage that would be friendly to both authors and readers. By converting their aging ASP.NET to a responsive WordPress-based site that works both on desktop and mobile browsers we provided solutions to both groups, all in a sustainable package that will serve BTN well for years to come.
